CYMA TAVANNES ANTIQUE WRISTWATCH SWISS ORIGINAL CLOCK METAL DIAL

ORIGINAL SWISS WRISTWATCH This auction is a unique example of the men’s antique timepiece under a leading upscale Swiss watch brand which was made by CYMA Watch Company. Giving a minimum of attention of a jewelry and decorative component, CYMA Company has found the formula of success in art of exact mechanics – functionality, accuracy, and reliability.
This gorgeous men’s timepiece features an original metal dial with little traces of aging. The watches with metal dials were issued for Army and remained the privilege of officers or for the people conducting an active way of life, for example motorists, race drivers. The original metal face features a 60 minute checkered outer track border with line of red 13-24 hour numbering, black Arabic numerals, original blue steel hands of Breguet-style and a slightly sunken sub-second’s dial. The dial is signed ‘CYMA’.
This model of timepiece features a three piece steel case. The lateral part of the case has corrugating as a coin edge. The winding crown is in very good shape and operates properly.
This watch is mechanical and completely original. The brand name of CYMA Watch Company is stamped on the movement. The signed original movement is in excellent condition. The mechanism was very well saved, considering age of this watch.
This watch was converted from pocket to wristwatch. The pocket watches were not practical in combat. Not to lose the watch out of a usual pocket, the military men have started to weld on the case the second ring or to do two wire lugs and to pass through them a band, for use as a wristwatch.Diameter watch: 47 mm

Cyma on the wrist identifies its owner as someone who has already proved their point. In 1891, Frederic Henri Sandoz, a businessman from Le Locle, created a new watchmaking company «Tavannes» producing both simple and complicated watches, particularly chronographs. A year later, he went into partnership with the Schwob brothers and they founded «Tavannes Watch Co». Only from that time CYMA was pushed into the market.
Soon Henri Sandoz and his partners opened markets around the world, notably in Canada, Russia, United States and the Far East. German antique decorative boudoir bedroom alarm clock wood / metal
On offer is this German made alarm clock .
Very decorative and detailed and an unusual shape .
The base is 9 1/2" by 3" deep . A rectangular base with 4 wooden feet . Center column holds up meatl case to clock . Around the case is a tube that supports the two decoartive bells . Brass colored clock case , silver tone metal bells . A small hole to the top of the tube must have held another decorative accent .
The round white dial has a second sweep and alarm dial
Black hands , Roman numerals ..
Key wind from back . Altogether , 8 1/2" tall .
Is currently working . Alarm hammer hits one ofthe two bells and is loud !

ANTIQUE SETH THOMAS METAL SERIES #6 KITCHEN PARLOR SHELF ALARM CLOCK ~ NO ALARM
ANTIQUE SETH THOMAS METAL SERIES KITCHEN ~ PARLOR CLOCK!Seth Thomas Metal Series kitchen or parlor clock with original finish..."Metal No. 6", circa 1905-10 with remnants of the original paper label on the inside of the case bottom. This is one in the series of 6 clocks Seth Thomas made using metal ornaments over the case front. All metal embellishments are in place. It is 8 day, striking hour and half hour on a Cathedral gong. Case is in fine condition with a good closing clasp in place as well as good door hinges. This clock was made to be an alarm clock and the alarm set is still on the hands arbor, however, the alarm mechanism is no longer with the clock. The paper on zinc dial pan leaves a gap at the top of the attachment area and although bearing the ST logo and Made in United States of America, it may not be original to this clock however, the dial pan fits perfectly to the wear and aging marks on the wood. Dial does show age yellowing and usage wear...nothing that is unexpected for it's age. Pendulum is correct. Great case design...reverse decorated glass decorated with a likeness of the pendulum is in good condition...no chips, cracks or hairlines but we do have general wear with some loss to the image. 8 day time and strike movement is marked with the Seth Thomas logo and the number designation that appears to be 5 & 7/8 and 1/2. After many years in storage with the estate collection wound, when the pendulum was hung the clock ran for only moments before stopping...possibly a matter of cleaning and lubrication as we do have general age and storage dust and dander noted throughout. Strike at the hour and half hour is fully functioning. Measures in at about 23" tall. As with all of our estate timepieces and clocks, we highly recommend a professional cleaning with final adjustments after shipment to you, for proper working accuracy. Ly - Seth Thomas, 296.
