Drop octagon school house clock. 8-day original brass works. Brass bezel. Original brass Ansonia movement. Original eglomise gilt panel in the drop. Rosewood or mahogany veneer (rosewood, I think). Original paper label inside reads in part ANSONIA CLOCK CO. / Manufacturers of / CLOCKS AND MOVEMENTS, / OF EVERY DESCRIPTION / …BROOKLYN, N. Y. / ….CLIFF ST., N. Y…. Face reads MANUFACTURED BY THE ANSONIA CLOCK CO., NEW YORK, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. On the back are pencil are pencil notations detailing cleaning and repair work from 1902 to 1961. Key is included.
