Beautiful antique porcelain mantel clock made in Germany, circa 1891 (as per the date on the back of the clock insert, please see the third picture), by the Konigliche Porzellan-Manufactur. Made by Berlin's oldest existing manufacturing operation. The word "Manufactur" means that they produce their items primarily by hand, not machinery. The painting of the gold edges and small purple pansy flowers was done by hand and remains in wonderful condition. The top and sides are a pretty lavender color. The piece is marked "KPM" and carry the royal sceptre mark. The clock features a small second hand dial, within the larger dial. The clock does not work! The porcelain is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, or fleabites! This quality piece was very well kept, as a a piece of such quality should be!
