The Friesian tail clock is Dutch history.

Friesian tail clocks originated in the Provence of Friesland in the north of the Netherlands. Long clock building tradition in Friesland. Various varieties have been made.

This clock features are :

Gorgeous oak case. Very chique and expensive wood. Large model, 43 inch tall!Age: about 1940It has three gilt weights.Statue on top of Atlas who is carrying the world on his shoulders. Next to Atlas there are two angels that are blowing the horn and having a mirror in the other hand.The face of the clock is graved with a Dutch landscape at the river.It also has a moondial with the sun that shows when it is day and the stars when it is night.The clock has a Wetsminster clockwork, it chimes a melody every quarter and every half hour the chime rings. 7 day clockwork in excellent running condition.It hangs approx 43 inch tall!!!In excellent condition, signs of use as to be expected for a clock this old.The clock is 43 " tall and 14 " and 7 " deep. ( " is inch. )The clock is 110 cm tall, 36 cm wide and 17 cm deep.
