SESSIONS MANTEL CLOCK SUPERIOR NO. 3-1915 - circa 1910 - NOT WORKING-

Here is a Sessions Mantel Clock.  Model – Superior No. 3-1915.  Circa 1910.

The clock is complete with the key and pendulum, and we believe it is made from walnut.  The clock measures 19 ¼” high, and 15 ¼” at the base.

A little history on Sessions: The Sessions Clock Company produced mechanical clocks from 1903 to 1933, after which time they began producing electric clocks.  In the early 1950’s, Sessions began producing timing devices for the television industry.  In 1956, the Sessions Clock Co. was absorbed by a company interested mainly in their timing devices, which they continued producing.  In 1959, William K. Sessions, grandson of William E. Sessions left the company and formed the New England Clock Company.  The new owners of Session ran the company until 1969 when it was liquidated.

The clock has been over-wound, and is not working at the present time, but most likely could be repaired.  The crown support that is normally behind the crown is missing, and the face is soiled.  We are selling the clock AS IS
